Event from University of Oregon African Students Association

The University of Oregon is proud to announce its 2nd Annual Inside Africa Conference. The purpose of this one day event is to bring awareness and to foster discussion about African issues not only within the university but within surrounding communities.

Last year’s topic focused on the ‘African Diaspora’ and this year’s topic will focus on the role of Foreign Aid in Africa. The economist, George Ayittey from American University in Washington DC, will preside as the Guest Speaker.  AfterAyittey’s presentation, there will be a discussion,  Q&A session, and dinner.

The entire event is free of charge to everyone. The conference will be held on Feb 10th, 2010 from 6pm-9pm at the University of Oregon.  For more information, please email asa@uoregon.edu
