The Inaugural National Conference will be held March 19-21, 2010 at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia hosted by the African Students Association. The National African Students’ Association National Conference was created to assemble university students from the African Diaspora into a coalition for the progress of the African continent. This is one of the largest networking opportunities for African students who attend colleges and universities around the United States. The official conference hotel will be the Hampton Inn of North Druid Hills Atlanta. Web registration for the conference will be available from November 9th, 2009 until the 12th of March, 2010.  Schools may register as groups and all individuals, whether in a university or not, are invited.

Through its conferences, National A.S.A. seeks to empower and unite its members while creating service opportunities to foster progress on the African continent. It is the aim of the conference that members will use the information garnered at this conference to develop into the African leaders we are all charged to be.

The National A.S.A. continually works to equip young African men and women with the tools necessary for them to become forces of change. The National ASA exists to unify African student groups in universities across the US. Through this synergy they strive to empower themselves, create networking opportunities and encourage outreach to Africa. These students have assembled because they believe it is time for the African Diaspora to take the success of the African continent into their own hands.
