National ASA Leadership Application Cycle 2011

Are you hard-working, determined, innovative, and a team player?  Then, please apply to become a board member in the National African Students Association!  Take the National ASA to the next level!

Being a member of the National Board or Regional Boards is an Excellent Opportunity!  To date, the National ASA has received attention from the White House and Current Administration, the ONE campaign, as well as other national and community organizations and initiatives.  And this is just the beginning!
Working with the National ASA will help you develop various skills such as:
Leadership
Time Management
Professionalism
People Management
Project Management
and much more!
All of which will make you competitive for future employment, internships, and other opportunities!

To be considered for a national leadership role, please complete the application form below. Once information is completed and received, we will decide whether you will qualify for an interview and contact you shortly thereafter.

How to Apply:

  1. Type in your name and email address at the top of the first page. In the table below, rank the top three leadership positions in which you are interested, with “1” being your first choice.  If you are not interested in a position, please leave that space blank. Please reference the constitution on www.nationalasa.org for the responsibilities of each role or email us for more information.
  2. In your resume, indicate the time commitment per week for your 2011-2012 extra-curriculars.  Your resume should be well written and in a professional format.
  3. Answer the questions in the application.
  4. Email the application form, your resume, and recommendations to nationalboard@nationalasa.org with the email subject “National ASA Leadership Application – YOUR NAME”  Please note that without this, your application may not be read.

Conference Theme Announced!

The theme for the National African Students Association Inaugural Conference will be “Placing An African Face on African Development”

Expect a conference jam-packed with exciting events and workshops dedicated to ensuring that African youth are prepared to become leaders of their communities.

The Inaugural National Conference is March 19th-21st, 2010 in Atlanta, Georgia hosted by Emory University’s African Students Association.
