National ASA Executive Board elected!

On August 16th, 2008, those in attendance at the national planning committee meeting unanimously elected the 1st national executive board.

    Hello ASA!

    I was wondering if there was anything close to a national African conference in existence for the past couple of months, and was gonna try to organize one myself. Im a student at Miami University of Ohio. We have an African Student Union here. We would love to attend the conference next yr, this yr…we dont have the funds. How do you become a member of the ASA? How do you get started?

    Hello Tyeisha,
    As this organization was created to house ASA’s, we do not make membership exclusive. Our only requirements are that your ASA appoints a delegate to attend monthly delegate conference calls as well as actively participates in national initiatives. The delegate calls are a forum for ASA’s to remain updated on events at the national level, interact with other universities as well as share their concerns and receive support.

    I look forward to receiving information on your nominated delegate.
