National A.S.A Networks
Some institutions are unable to have an African student group at their school. The National ASA has created “Networks” for students who want to be affiliated but their school cannot have an African student group. These students can pay dues directly to the National ASA for $7 as individuals or with over 5 interested students can follow the general Dues Scale below. For more information, please contact the National Board at nationalboard@nationalasa.org and explain your situation as well as who else may be interested in being a part of your network. Please do not attempt to send in individual dues without first consulting the National ASA as to the correct procedures.
Review of Potential Chapter
Once all requested materials have been submitted, a representative from the National A.S.A. will review them and respond to your organization as soon as possible.
Yearly National Dues Scale
Chapters should remit payment before October 30th of every year unless otherwise stated by the National ASA Exec Board (priority deadline). After October 30th, payments will still be accepted, though we ask you to submit them as soon as possible to ensure discounted conference rates and access to National ASA benefits. Payments can be sent either: via check (no personal checks please), by money order to our mailing address made out to the National African Students Association, or via Paypal on the ‘Donate’ page. Please indicate that the money you are sending is for dues and also what school you are sending the money for.
Application documents for full chapter status may be submitted in advance of chapter dues or vice versa. Dues are necessary to maintain National ASA initiatives, conferences, regional programming, and other benefits to members institutions. Questions concerning payment may be directed to nationalboard@nationalasa.org
