Osaguona Asemota
| Major: | Accounting |
|---|---|
| Institution: | Georgia State University |
| Position | Director of Public Relations |
Osa Asemota is currently a junior at Georgia State University majoring in Accounting. She was first introduced to the National ASA through her school’s own ASA chapter. While in her ASA, she found that she loved the friendships she formed and the information gained. As a member of her ASA, she tirelessly promoted the side of Africa many people (on campus) never get to see; the side of Africa that has colorful traditions, customs, and big cities. As public relations chair for the Southeastern Region of the National ASA, Osa plans on spreading the word about this dynamic organization. She believes that with the proper mediums (such as the newspaper, radio, and television) the organization will be able to complete its mission of lending a helping hand to the entire continent of Africa and getting others to become more knowledgeable and involved. Osa hopes to pursue a degree in Law and to continue to challenge the ignorance that many people have about Africa. While an executive member of the National African Student Association, she hopes to educate individuals who are not knowledgeable about the history, cultures, and customs of the African continent.
