Are you still interested in taking a leadership role within the National ASA?

We have extended the application deadline for leadership positions at the regional and national level until April 24th. For those of you that are interested, we will be hosting regional conference calls on April 18th. For more information, please stay tuned to either the national site or your region’s facebook group.

We are looking for individuals that have great passion for the continent of Africa and its people. We are looking for individuals who have a vision for change through the National ASA.

National ASA Leadership Application

To be considered for a national leadership role, please complete the application form. Once information is completed and received, we will contact you shortly thereafter.

Please e-mail the following materials to nationalboard@nationalasa,org:

* The deadline has been extended.  In order to complete the process, applicants will go through an interview process via conference call.

2.) Resume

3.) One (1) reference from among the leadership of your chapter

4.) Brief cover letter outlining your interests, level of participation in your local chapter as well as reasons for becoming more involved with the National A.S.A.

• Please indicate what area you are interested in supporting the national organization (i.e., community outreach, membership intake, sponsorship, corporate development, professional and community development, finance, and marketing/public relations, webmaster).

Other Prerequisites:

• Must be a member in good standing with your local chapter.

National ASA Executive Board elected!

On August 16th, 2008, those in attendance at the national planning committee meeting unanimously elected the 1st national executive board.

National ASA is created!

Over the summer of 2008, interested universities nominated representatives to the national planning committee. Together, this group laid the ground work for the new organization by creating goals, a mission statement and a constitution.  At the end of the summer of 2008, members of the founding committee elected the first National A.S.A. Executive Board.

Creation of the national website

Through his generous  donation of time and talent, Fabien Nervais, Creative Director of  Global Advances, LLC (www.globaladvances.com) designed our  national website. It goes without saying that this site rivals those of many top organizations in existence today.
